Kedarnath Tourism

Kedarnath, a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range at an elevation of 3583 meters above sea level. Kedarnath is sited in the North Indian state of Uttarakhand. The shrine is not directly accessible by road and to reach the temple, you have to uphill trek by 22 kilometers from Gaurikund. Different cultural festivals are held every year, during May-June the Kedar-Badri Utsav is celebrated, in the months of July-August, there is a festival of Janmashtami.
